THE INTEGRITY TEST FOR SHOP-IN-HOME COMPANIES

The time has come for contractors and shop-in-home companies to take a test for the privilege of being licensed. This rule of disclosure will allow productivity, ingenuity, and honesty to compete fairly in the marketplace against the inefficient, complacent, and dishonest people in business.

Disclosure offers limited government involvement with marketplace enforcement. That’s so important, because a rule that is passed, without enforcement, is worthless. If a contractor would lie or intentionally misrepresent with fraudulent information to influence a purchase, they risk non-payment, and possible incarceration.

Disclosure offers accountability for both the contractor and the consumer. Disclosure offers dependable companies with integrity a clear advantage in the marketplace WHEN LEAVING ESTIMATES.

Disclosure brings fairness to the marketplace for businesses with integrity and provides them with the ability to thrive and continue to operate.

Capitalism works at its finest when there is consumer confidence, because consumer confidence brings consumer spending. And this willingness to spend money for home improvements will help in the development of neighborhoods that might not have been developed in the past. And this will have a positive effect on every neighborhood in Philadelphia and the United States of America.

For most of us, FAMILY COMES FIRST, and having a well-maintained home in a neighborhood that we feel secure living in that allows our families to be good productive citizens THIS IS A QUALITY OF LIFE ISSUE!!!

…Americans Who Care will ask civic organizations, celebrities, anyone with a voice to take a stand for disclosure for the public, with the ultimate goal of substantiating the need for the 1 (one), 2 (two), 3 (three) Integrity Test for shop-in-home companies to become a requirement in all 50 states as a mandatory FTC (Federal Trade Commission) licensing requirement.

Disclosure benefits the consumer, but what will be the overall benefit that it brings to the marketplace?

Answer
Consumer Confidence. Consumers look for value along with quality, and most consumers are willing to pay a fair price as long as expectations are met. With disclosure consumers will have the information about the contractor’s past performance. This will send a message to those businesses who provide in-home services to pay attention to detail to deliver what you promise and to service what you sell.
